The decision to conduct a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) survey was reached after the completion of the 2020 Voluntary National Review (VNR) for The Gambia. It was realized that the country was able to report on only 52% of SDG indicators.
With a total area of 10, 690 sq km, the Republic of The Gambia is one of the smallest countries in Africa. It is located in West Africa, bordered on the West by the Atlantic Ocean and on the other three sides by Senegal.
